You will join a large Belgian financial institution working on the transformation and creation of core banking applications. You collaborate in an agile, multidisciplinary team focused on building reliable, future-ready systems that support critical business processes. The environment combines modern cloud technologies with complex integration challenges, offering strong learning opportunities.
Your Tasks
- Design and develop fullstack features across core banking applications
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Java technologies
- Develop user interfaces that ensure a smooth and intuitive experience
- Contribute to the full development lifecycle from design to deployment
- Collaborate with team members on architecture and technical improvements
- Improve performance, security and reliability of applications
- Support testing, integration and issue resolution across environments
Your skills
- You have 2+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
- You hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience with Java and Spring Boot in backend development.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern cloud technologies.
- Understanding of microservices, APIs, and application integration concepts.
- Comfortable working with modern development tools and cloud-based platforms.
- Eager to learn, share knowledge, and continuously develop your technical expertise.
- You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with different stakeholders
- You take ownership and approach challenges in a structured way
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is required
