The role is part of a larger change programme focused on regulatory reporting. Within this programme, an existing technical solution is used to collect, transform and aggregate large volumes of transaction data for regulatory reporting purposes. The foundation is already in place, but there is a clear need to further improve and simplify the solution, increase the quality of the data and automate parts of the existing process.
The role therefore combines data analysis, SQL, data quality, reporting, process improvement and stakeholder collaboration. It offers the opportunity to work on a complex data environment while having a tangible impact on how regulatory data is processed and delivered.
- Analyse and improve existing regulatory reporting processes and data flows;
- Work with large volumes of transaction data and complex datasets;
- Use SQL to extract, analyse and validate data;
- Adapt and improve existing regulatory reports and reporting processes;
- Investigate data issues and identify the root cause of discrepancies;
- Improve data quality checks, validation processes and controls;
- Test and validate changes before implementation;
- Identify opportunities to simplify and automate existing processes;
- Translate analytical findings into practical improvements;
- Work closely with data analysts and business stakeholders who have in-depth knowledge of the regulatory reporting processes;
- Contribute to longer-term change initiatives while delivering improvements in smaller, manageable increments;
- Document new processes and implemented changes;
- Challenge existing ways of working and proactively suggest improvements.
